Programs Administrator (Calgary, Alberta)

Reporting to the Manager of Compensation & Benefits, the Programs Administrator will coordinate and assist with employee education programs and grant applications. Along with Program Support, other key areas of support will include process documentation, record keeping, policy signoff collection, physical and electronic file maintenance, and other people services activities for operations in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key ambassador for the Global Education Assistance Program, including calculate balances, costs, coordinating submissions to the Canada-Alberta Job Grant and other programs.
  • Assist with the benefit administration for US and Canada benefit enrolment.
  • Support the SOC2 compliance for employee personnel files as they relate to the people services team which will include filing of physical documents and maintaining electronic files.
  • Support reporting for program participation demographics for the global organization.
  • Support corporate Internship applications, new Canadian workers, and inpatriate benefits.
  • Assist with the administration support for compensation programs such as our Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP) and bi-weekly payroll preparations. 

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of administration support experience, preferably in HR and/or Payroll
  • Advanced working knowledge with Word (Mail Merge) and Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP’s)
  • A University Degree is considered an asset but is not essential to this role.
  • Interest in or currently pursuing a PCP or other payroll or human resources designation is encouraged and supported.

  • Ability to work independently with excellent organization skills in assuming responsibility for managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm with a focus on providing useful information to make good business decisions in a supportive environment.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and strong verbal and written communication skills
