CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 10, 2011) - Dr. John Finbow, former Chairman of BW Technologies and founding member of City Technology Ltd, has agreed to join the board of directors for Blackline GPS Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BLN). Dr. John Finbow was CEO for City Technology Ltd from 1989-1999 when the company was one of the world's largest suppliers of electrochemical and catalytic sensors to the gas detection industry. In 1996 he oversaw a successful $170 million IPO for City Technology on the London Stock Exchange. Dr. Finbow served as Chairman of BW Technologies from 1999 until 2004 when the company was acquired by U.K. based First Technology for $265 million in cash.

"I am excited to be working alongside my long-time colleagues from BW days: CEO Cody Slater, Head of Research & Development Barry Moore, and Chief Operations Officer Kevin Meyers" says Dr. Finbow. "I can see that as we put our collective experience in the safety markets to work, Blackline has a great opportunity for innovative product development and new market penetration."

Blackline's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Cody Slater says, "BW's success can be largely attributed to those key people involved in the company and John was certainly one of those. I look forward to working together with him along with the rest of the Management as Blackline moves into the future."

Resigning from the board concurrent with the appointment of Dr. Finbow are Mr. Richard King and Dr. Gary Swanson. "We have enjoyed working with Blackline's board and management team and have been impressed with the business capabilities of both. Speaking on behalf of Dr. Swanson and myself, stepping down from the board will allow Blackline room for greater leadership specific to industrial markets. We are confident in the growth and direction of the business and management's ability to lead the Company forward", said Mr. King. Following their resignations the board will have five members: Dr. John Finbow, Mr. Cody Slater, Mr. Clark Swanson, Mr. Martin Thall, and Mr. Michael Hayduk.
