G7x Satellite Gas Detector & Lone Worker Device

Satellite connectivity to keep workers safe in rural and remote locations.

g7x-product-page-intro-v2

Remote oilfields, isolated mines, railway corridors in the middle of nowhere—with G7x, no matter how off-the-grid a worker is, they're never out of reach.

Cellular networks were built where people live, not where your crews work. If your safety program depends on cell coverage, it stops working exactly where the risk is highest, leaving workers vulnerable.

Blackline's G7x is built for that gap.

G7x delivers the same trusted lone worker and gas detection protection as other devices in our personal gas detection lineup, with the addition of a satellite link that extends your coverage to the true "last mile".

Together, a G7x wearable safety monitor, portable G7 Bridge base station, and Blackline Live monitoring software give you end-to-end connectivity wherever the job takes you.

Note: G7x is only available in North America, Australia, New Zealand and South America (excluding Brazil)

Never Lose Connection

Harness both cellular and satellite links.

  • Reliable dual-mode connectivity seamlessly switches between 4G cellular and Iridium satellite depending on the signal.
  • Communicates with the G7 Bridge (required for off-grid operations) via an industrial-grade 900 MHz radio link from up to 2 kms away.
  • Connect up to 5 G7x devices with a single bridge.
  • Up to 18 hours of battery life keeps shifts moving safely.
  • Built-in GPS pinpoints worker location quickly and accurately for fast incident response.

Connected Gas Detection

Versatile technology to stay a step ahead of risk.

  • View sensor readings on active devices in the field, from anywhere. React faster and respond safely.

  • Swap gas cartridges and customize the hazards monitored by your device to the environment.

  • Get real-time alerts for high gas, over limit (OL), short-term exposure limit (STEL) and time-weighted average (TWA) to stay ahead of immediate, short and long-term risks.

One Device,
Four Configurations

G7x adapts to the job through swappable cartridges. Choose the configuration that matches the hazard, and change it as your sites change:

  • G7x Single-Gas: One target hazard, such as H₂S or CO, monitored continuously with full lone worker protection and satellite reach.

  • G7x Multi-Gas: Up to 5 gases at once from a portfolio of 20+ sensors, for sites with multiple potential gas hazards.

  • G7x Multi-Gas Pump: Adds pumped sampling for pre-entry checks and leak investigation, so remote confined space entries get the same safety coverage as any other.

  • G7x Lone Worker (no gas): Operate G7x without a gas sensor if no gas hazards are present.

Every configuration includes fall and no-motion detection, SOS, GPS, and two-way text messaging as standard device functions.

Communication From Anywhere

Stay connected with two-way text messaging.

  • Use a bright LCD interface directly on the device for text messaging.
  • Exchange real-time messages to relay critical information, collaborate and coordinate evacuations between workers and monitoring personnel
  • Send mass notifications for extreme weather and other emergencies.

24/7 live monitoring is available through your own safety control center, Blackline’s in-house Safety Operations Center (SOC), or our global Alarm Receiving Center (ARC) partners.

Blackline’s Five-Diamond Certified SOC agents can quickly escalate responses and dispatch local emergency services to a worker’s exact location. From the moment an alert comes in to the moment it’s resolved, every step follows your custom emergency response protocol.

Advanced Analytics

Know the status of your safety program—without the manual work.
  • Manage compliance by confirming devices are worn, powered on, and up to date with bump and calibration requirements, while streamlining audits and inspections.
  • Identify risk trends by using historical data to detect gas leaks early and take corrective action before incidents occur.
  • Improve site visibility with ZoneAwareTM by drawing site-specific areas to see who is in each zone, spot bottlenecks and monitor movement to muster points.

“It was a terrible situation. Temperatures were dropping, the visibility was poor due to the storm and lateness of the day, and the car was trapped. We were so fortunate to have our device with us and be able to call for help. This incident had the potential to escalate badly otherwise.”
Isaac, G7x user
"Because I was in the middle of no where with no cell service or radio reception, one of the things that went through my mind when my old gas monitor went off was: no one is going to find me for two hours… but now with the Blackline G7x on, I knew someone would be immediately notified."

“I was feeling ill on my drive to site, and stopped to rest. When I got in the truck again with all the safety gear to go to site, I kept getting a carbon monoxide detection from my G7x device when I was in the vehicle.
I would never have known this was what was making me sick if it weren’t for the Blackline G7x device”.
