ERP Support Analyst

Calgary, AB

We are looking for a results-oriented NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Support Analyst to successfully manage, troubleshoot, support, and translate business requests into effective business processes. You will collaborate with The ERP Program Manager and business units to determine which business processes need optimization, enhance the performance of our ERP system, and deploy and implement suitable ERP solutions.

To ensure success as an ERP specialist, you should exhibit extensive knowledge of NetSuite ERP systems and processes, and the ability to resolve integration and day-to-day issues. An outstanding NetSuite ERP specialist will be someone whose expertise translates into streamlined business processes with highly effective problem-solving abilities.

The ability to provide exceptional communication, process improvements, have high attention to detail, multi-task, work in a collaborative environment, communicate effectively and handle a high volume of work during peak periods is essential to this position. The successful candidate will ensure NetSuite is operated in a manner to bring efficiency and provide business value.

Skills/Qualifications

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience with ERP systems or similar role
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or post-secondary technical diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems is an asset, however equivalent experience will be considered
  • Experience with line of business applications and understanding the manufacturing business processes is preferred
  • Possess effective communication and analytical problem-solving skills, for effective work with stakeholders
  • Exhibit cognitive flexibility with the ability to assess and recommend improvements for processes and procedures
  • A basic understanding of ERP system navigation and database schema
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working in a fast-paced business
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate to technology solutions
  • Ability to translate “IT Speak” to business outcomes, understood by business decision makers
  • Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with multiple business units, mainly Finance, Sales, Manufacturing and Purchasing, to understand their business needs and problem solve operational issues
  • Primary point of contact for of NetSuite support
  • Interface with business units to gain a deep understanding of software requirements, look for integration and streamlining opportunities leveraging NetSuite
  • Use the required ERP configuration and analyzed business requirements to successfully optimize NetSuite support
  • Providing technical support and training ERP end-users
  • Developing user-friendly functionalities and interfaces
  • Performing diagnostic tests and resolving issues to optimize performance
  • Coordinate with related teams and departments to ensure optimal operation of NetSuite
  • Gather business unit requirements and translate to technology Solutions, designed to create efficiency, avoid risk, and improve security
  • Preparing development progress updates and documenting ERP processes
  • Key participant in release updates, new features, and new NetSuite features
  • Provide and / or arrange training as required
  • Develop effective relationships with NetSuite vendors and provide oversight to ensure successful day-to-day operations
  • Monitor and participate in the creation of automated jobs and data transformations
  • Analyze and support business requirements in NetSuite
  • Participate in change management in respect of applications and processes
  • Participate in quarterly compliance information gathering for applications
