Warehouse Manager

Blackline Safety relies on our Houston warehouse to be a well-oiled machine, driven by a customer-centric mentality. This position requires exceptional attention to detail and must be able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. The Warehouse Manager is responsible to achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfillment of hundreds of product orders every year. This position will require travel to its Canadian head office, Calgary AB., on occasion. Other travel may be required as needed.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 5+ year warehouse experience or logistics/supply chain experience
    Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer/tech abilities, understanding new software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to work with all levels of company staff
  • A Strong Health and Safety understanding and WHMIS/GHS is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, FIFO and shipping & receiving
  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics with weekly input from Calgary
  • Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations processing orders
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
  • Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages
  • Engage with other team members through virtual meetings, MS teams chats, email and telephone
